WHALETHON

Sport Unites People for the Ocean.

Sport unites people and inspires action. Through our Whalethon events, TAF brings communities together to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect our ocean and marine life. Supported by our ambassadors, participants have taken part in a series of challenges—from running and walking to swimming and kicking—all with a shared purpose: protecting whales and the ocean they call home.

Each event concludes with an optional beach or street clean-up, giving participants the opportunity to make a direct and positive impact on the environment.

Run or walk for the ocean

TAF’s Whalethon – Run or Walk for the Ocean brings people together through sport to raise awareness of the challenges facing our ocean and marine life. Led by our ambassador, marathon world record holder Paula Radcliffe, the event encourages participants to take action for ocean conservation while enjoying a fun and inclusive day outdoors.

Participants are invited to join an optional clean-up after the run or walk, helping to make an immediate positive impact on the environment.

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, all participants receive a Whalethon T-shirt, refreshments, and snacks.

Our most recent Whalethon welcomed more than 400 participants, demonstrating the growing community of people committed to protecting our ocean.

Swim for the whales - 2nd edition of WHALETON

The second edition of Whalethon brought hundreds of people together for a morning of swimming in support of whales and ocean conservation. Alongside the sporting challenge, participants learned about the crucial role whales play in the health of our ocean and the production of oxygen. By protecting whales, we help protect the future of life on Earth.

KICK-A-TONNE "Kick for the whales" - 3rd edition of WHALETHON

We love to promote sports and ocean conservation!
The core principles of Karate and martial arts—discipline and respect—were values we aimed to impart to the children and schools that joined us.

The kids thoroughly enjoyed the fun impactful karate session and were highly engaged with TAF’s educational quizzes, showing great enthusiasm for ocean protection. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Karate world champion and TAF ambassador  CHRISTOPHE PINNA and his assistant Lionel for their dedication and support.
Our gratitude also goes to the city of Nice for providing the tatamis and assistance, as well as to our incredible TAF volunteers. The beautifully designed t-shirts, created by graphic artist Marko Cavka, were sponsored by our valued partner, 2PM Europe.
